What if you don't have insurance? (uninsured)
The Auburn Medical Group is especially pleased to work with patients who prefer to pay cash for their care instead of use health insurance. We challenge interested individuals to find a more open and affordable office for their healthcare. There is a very simple measure to use to compare the cost of doctors' offices. Just call and ask the receptionist how much their office charges for a "level 3 and level 4 visit" for an established patient. These are the most common levels of charge for a regular doctor visit. Then ask if they offer a discount on that charge if you pay at the time of the visit. Our patients are very pleased to learn of the 30 % discount we offer for same-day payment on our already competitive standard charges.
Tax penalty starts 2014 for not having insurance.
The new healthcare bill requires individuals without insurance for 2014 to pay a 1% of their annual income fee, increasing to 2.5% in 2015. We encourage patients to have insurance to cover for unexpected major medical expenses. More information is found at https://www.healthcare.gov/.
